The Texas Instruments TPS7A13 300mA Ultra-Low Dropout Voltage Regulator is a tiny LDO with a remarkable transient response, and it is now offered by Mouser. This gadget has outstanding AC performance and can supply 300mA. (load and line transient responses). With a very high precision of 1% for overload, line, and temperature, the input voltage range is from 0.7V to 2.2V, and the output voltage range is from 0.5V to 2.05V.
The IN pin, which is the main power supply line, can be linked to a power source that is only 50 mV over the output voltage. High practical efficiency is delivered by specifying all electrical parameters for input voltages 100 mV larger than the output voltage, including outstanding output voltage tolerance, transient responsiveness, and PSRR. The internal LDO circuitry of this regulator is powered by a higher, externally provided VBIAS rail, allowing it to support very low input voltages. For instance, the BIAS pin supply voltage could be a rechargeable battery, and the supply voltage to the IN pin could be the output of a high-efficiency DC-DC step-down regulator.
The device has a known start-up status and an active pulldown circuit to fast discharge the output when disabled. Its ultra-compact 0.71mm x 1mm, six-bump DSBGA packaging makes it the perfect choice for applications with limited space.
Camera modules, wireless headphones and earbuds, smartwatches and fitness trackers, smartphones and tablets, portable medical devices, and SSDs are examples of typical application areas.
