When used in AC power control applications, Littelfuse QJxx30xH4 30A Alternistor TRIACs make thermal management simpler and boost surge handling capacity. These TRIACs, which are located in the I, II, and III quadrants, offer excellent performance for applications requiring a high degree of commutation.

The devices can handle up to 800V of voltage and have a maximum junction temperature of 150C, 350A ITSM at 60Hz half cycle. They come in TO-220 isolated packages, are halogen-free, and comply with RoHS regulations.

Infrared heaters, tankless water heaters, AC sold-state relays, incandescent and LED light dimmers, and motor speed controls for kitchen appliances, power tools, home furnishings and white goods are a few examples of typical applications.
