With the HS/HSL hybrid supercapacitors, EATON provides high-performance energy storage devices that are now offered by Rutronik and have an incredibly high capacity for dependable usage in emergency power supply, pulse power, and hybrid energy systems. Being able to be used as a standalone energy storage device or in conjunction with batteries to optimise prices, service life, and running time speaks much about their versatility. From a few microwatts to several hundred watts, a system may require power.

High energy is produced by their 3.8V working voltage, and high power density is produced by their low ESR. Their low self-discharge makes them ideal for usage with batteries. The HSL supercapacitors operate in a range of low temperatures down to -25C. The HS model, on the other hand, provides a wider temperature range of up to +85 C. Additionally, the capacitors are RoHS compliant, lead, halogen, and halogen-free. Industrial backup/ride-through, IT server backup, IoT energy storage, smart water and gas metres, medical emergency power supply/alarm systems, and asset tracking for trucks and containers are further application areas.
