For application in industrial and medical applications, Traco Power has introduced the TRV 2M series of 2W DC-DC in a small SIP-9 box with strengthened isolation of 5000VAC. This series was developed to safeguard any applied or connected interfaces for patients with 2xMOPP compliance. The series consists of 21 variants with output voltages of 3.3, 5, 12, 15, 5, 12, and 15 V and 1.5:1 input ranges of 4.57, 9.614.4, 1218, and 19.228.8VDC.

These isolated and controlled DC-DC converters provide full-load operation at up to 84 percent high efficiency across the convection-cooled temperature range of -40C to +80C without derating. Additional characteristics include continuous short circuit protection, 5000VAC isolation, and reliability estimated to be greater than 10 million hours (calculated per MIL-HDBK-217F ground benign). Each model has been deemed safe.
