A brand-new line of isolated, high voltage, single- and dual-output ultra-miniature DC-DC converters has been introduced by Advanced Energy. Power conversion in a variety of medical, life science, industrial, and semiconductor equipment applications is optimized by the Advanced Energy UltraVolt AEQ series. Devices of the AEQ series, when compared to other tiny form factor DC-DC converters, may output up to 600 VDC at 0.5 W from an input voltage of +5 VDC. There is a voltage-proportional output on them that enables complete programmability from zero to the highest rated value. Output stability is attained at a full load and within 5% of the maximum VOUT. A high input-to-output isolation rating of 1500 VDC simplifies compliance in medical and life science applications as well as accurate output voltage management and satisfies safety requirements for portable equipment.

The AEQ series is perfect for use in high-voltage (HV) applications where decreased space and weight are required because to their small size, ease of control, output voltage precision, and stability. The series is particularly well-suited for handheld and portable electronics, and includes silicon detectors, avalanche photo diodes, MEMS devices, and ultrasonic transducers. Its adaptable control enhances flexibility, dependability, and precision to satisfy particular application needs. Bipolar versions in the AEQ series range from 50 V to 300 V, and unipolar models in the series range from 100 V to 600 V; higher power and voltage levels are predicted for subsequent releases. The converters are protected from stress and vibration by being housed in a sturdy, 0.5″ x 0.5″ x 0.5″ inch vacuum-encapsulated packing (cube). Each gadget has received UL/cUL and IEC-62368-1 safety certifications.
