The 30V MOSFET with a low on-resistance, the AONS30300, was made available by Alpha and Omega Semiconductor Limited. With its high SOA capabilities, the AONS30300 is perfect for demanding applications like hot swap and eFuse.

In server hot swap applications, a high SOA is essential since a strong MOSFET is required to efficiently handle the large inrush current. The AONS30300 has a SOA limit of 48V, a 10ms pulse width, and good SOA resilience under 10VDS. With an applied Gate-Source Voltage of 10VGS and a maximum Rd(son) of 0.58mOhm, this innovative MOSFET is offered in a small DFN 5×6 package. The AONS30300 is also Tj=175C rated.

In the infrastructure of data centres, high dependability is a crucial statistic. In hot swap applications nowadays, where designers must specify the most durable and dependable components to fulfil server needs, MOSFETs with enhanced SOA are crucial. According to Peter H. Wilson, Sr. Director of MOSFET Product Line at AOS, the AONS30300 has with high SOA capabilities and low on-resistance to enable our clients accomplish these tough application requirements and uptime targets.
